Creating a MailChannels account does not automatically make you a domain administrator. You need to verify that you control the domain’s DNS to gain administrative privileges — such as configuring spam handling policies, safelists, and blocklists for your entire domain.
You must be logged in as the user you want to promote. The Verify button is not available when accessing a domain through Ghost Admin access (a hosting provider’s Login shortcut).

Promote a domain administrator

  1. Go to the Getting Started page in your Domain Console.
  2. Open the Promote a Domain Administrator panel.
  3. Add the DNS TXT record shown in the panel at the root of your domain.
  4. Click Verify to confirm the record and complete the promotion.
DNS changes can take several minutes to propagate. If verification doesn’t succeed immediately, wait a few minutes and try again. If you don’t have access to your domain’s DNS, contact someone in your organization who does.
