# Nuxt community integration

> Find the community-maintained Nuxt module for the MailChannels Email API and the official Node.js SDK guides.

Use [nuxt-mailchannels in the Nuxt Modules directory](https://nuxt.com/modules/mailchannels) to integrate the MailChannels Email API into a Nuxt application. The module is maintained by [Yizack Rangel](https://github.com/Yizack/nuxt-mailchannels) and uses the official MailChannels Node.js SDK.

## Before you start

Complete the account, API-key, and sending-domain setup in the [Node.js quickstart](/email-api/javascript/quickstart#prerequisites).

The module requires Nuxt 3 or later and a running Nuxt server. Its server utilities are not available in a purely static deployment produced by `nuxt generate`. Keep your API key in server-side runtime configuration.

## Install and configure the module

Follow the module maintainer's [installation and configuration guide](https://github.com/Yizack/nuxt-mailchannels#quick-setup) for the current setup instructions, server utilities, and examples. The package is published as [nuxt-mailchannels on npm](https://www.npmjs.com/package/nuxt-mailchannels).

This is a community-maintained module. Report module-specific problems in its [issue tracker](https://github.com/Yizack/nuxt-mailchannels/issues).

## Use the SDK directly

If you prefer to call the official SDK from your own server routes, use the [Nuxt guide in the Node.js SDK repository](https://bitbucket.org/mailchannels/mailchannels-email-api-sdk-js/src/main/docs/guides/frameworks/nuxt.md). See the [Node.js quickstart](/email-api/javascript/quickstart) for the SDK's account setup and first-send example.
